A Vinayagar idol of height 6 feet and width 3 feet had been brought from Madurai to install at Perur Arulmigu Patteswarasamy Temple by bullock Cart. The Vinayagar idol while reached at Eachanari village the Axle of the wheel in the bullock cart was broken down. The efforts to took the idol to proceed Perur became futile. Then the Vinayagar idol stayed at Eachanari itself. The people in and around the village were felt that Vinayagar wants his abode at Eachanari itself. There after a temple was constructed for the Vinayagar idol then it becomes famous Temple.
