Atru Vinayagar Temple round about 300 years old. It was installed by the ancestors those who lived at the time. The installed Sri vinayagar and subtha kannimar in that temple. This idols are installed under the people tree Arasamaram. The People believes the sacred river noyyal are kanjima nathi very powerful to remove the sins are karma. So they have path in river and worship the sri vinayagar and kannimar by doing prathakshana everyday. by this prayer all the desires full filed and god the benefits. The people believes sarpathosam, Naga thosam, Puthra santhana thosam are all removed by the prayer of sri vinayagar and kannimar.
அருள்மிகு ஆற்று விநாயகர் திருக்கோயில் ஏறக்குறைய 300 வருடங்களுக்கு பழமையான திருக்கோயில் ஆகும். அக்காலத்தில் வாழ்ந்த முன்னோர்களால் பிள்ளையார் மற்றும் கன்னிமார் கற்சிலைகள் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ளன. இங்கு வாழும் மக்கள் புனித நதியான நொய்யல் என்னும் காஞ்சிமா நதியில் நீராடினால் அவர்களது பாவ கருமாக்கள் விலகும் என்பது நம்பிக்கையாகும். மேலும் நதியில் நீராடிய பின் விநாயகர் மற்றும் கன்னிமார் தேவதைகளை அரசமரத்துடன் வளம் வந்து வணங்குவதால், அவர்களது சர்ப தோஷம், நாகதோஷம், புத்ரசந்தானதோஷம் ஆகியவை நீங்கி பலன் பெறுவர் என்பதும் நம்பிக்கையாகும்.
