The sub temple of Arulmigu Patteeswaraswamy Temple. we call Gosta Maha Ganapathi. Very ancient moorthy. looks like suyambu and somany stories behind Sri Pattivinayagar. The period of Maha bharatha the pandavas in the vanavasam period got theist y and they wanted to drink water. there is a pond with poisonus water. The Pandavas tried to drink the water to save them Sri Ganesha became a elephant and fight with them. Arujuna who used all his weapons, all are broken by Ganesha. finenaly they realized sri ganesha were saved them poisonous water. which denotes those apstacles following devotees will be stoped by sri ganesha.
அருள்மிகு பட்டிவிநாயகர் திருக்கோயில் அருள்மிகு பட்டீசுவரசுவாமி திருக்கோயிலின் உபகோயிலாகும். இக்கோயிலில் அமைந்துள்ள விநாயகர் சுயம்புவைப் போல் காணப்படுகிறார். இவரைப்பற்றி பல புராணக் கதைகள் உள்ளன. அவைகளில் ஒன்று பாண்டவர்கள் வனவாசம் வந்த பொழுது தாகம் மிகுதியால் தண்ணீரைத் தேடி அலைந்தனர். அப்பொழுது அவர்களது கண்களுக்கு நச்சுப்பொய்கை என்னும் நீர் நிலை தென்பட்டது. அதனை குடித்தால் அவர்கள் மாண்டுவிடலாம். அதனை தடுக்க விநாயகர் யானை வடிவெடுத்து தடுத்து அருள்புரிந்தார்.
